LONG NIGHT OF SCIENCES with NANOCOSMOS LIVE STREAMS

nanocosmos solutions are used for live streaming video in full HD over 4G networks from several exhibition areas and the opening ceremony of the Charite Science Center of the “Long Night of Sciences” in Berlin.
The presentation will extended by a mobile reporter team that implemented a wireless live broadcast from the fairgrounds.
Nokia Siemens Networks as a partner provides the required 4G – LTE infrastructure.
LTE (4G) is the successor to UMTS (3G) and allows mobile networking applications with very high bandwidths.
The Long Night of Sciences is organized by the scientific institutions all around Berlin and will be held as the “cleverest night of the year” on 06/02/2012 for the twelfth time.
The Beuth University for Applied Sciences Berlin uses nanocosmos technology to stream live video for research and development as well as live coverage of many events. Doing so, new technologies such as broadband transmissions in HD, Multiview and Stereoscopic 3D streaming will be shown in practical application scenarios.
